Overview

I’m really looking forward to the 2026 Tree Climbers Rendezvous in Korea. When I worked at Boeing, I had the chance to visit Korea several times, and it was always a great experience. I stayed at a hotel right on Haeundae Beach near Busan, which had amazing views. Each day, we’d head over to Korean Air for work, but evenings and weekends were wide open for exploring. The boardwalk restaurants served some of the freshest seafood I’ve ever had—just fantastic! Busan is such a vibrant city in a friendly, spirited country. I loved getting out to parks and trails, whether I was going solo or hanging out with colleagues from KA and Boeing.

One of my journeys was by train to a small shop about 3 hours WNW of Busan. The countryside is wonderful and I got to visit a tradition village! The 2026 Tree Climbers Rendezvous Korea takes place in the hills north of Naju. Click here to see pictures of the facilities. (A1 room pic) (A2 room pic) (Need a few pics of common areas in the hall such a foyer, cafe, conference room, outside of cabins) Our hosts, SeeSaw and the National Center for Forest Activities, will open the grounds and the acres of trees (would be nice to get some specifics about a few example trees) for climbing. These are not the giants like Silver Falls or the Redwoods. These are 15 to 25 meter trees (species?) both challenging and friendly. And there are SO MANY of them. Click here for the schedule (need content) and check back for updates.

Pre and Post Rendezvous Experiences

It would be well worth taking advantage of either or both tours. SeeSaw has taken the time to find historic, cultural, and outdoor activites in Korea that showcase this lovely country. Click to get information about the Pre ‘vous. Here for the Post ‘vous (1 2 3)

Notes about how to register. The Checkfront has limited capability.
