Our Social Tree Climbers co-Hosts have secured a charming Rendezvous 2023 location!

This Rendezvous will take place in the United Kingdom. Known for – among other things – their excellent castles, we have found a spot that’s not unlike what we would expect of a Robin Hood story.

During this first UK Rendezvous ever, we will be able to climb trees at the Tortworth Forest Centre where Rendezvous goers will also be able to camp: Totworth Forest Center

And… the Google Map location (near Bristol): ForestCentre

If you are in for a less woodsy sleeping experience, you are welcome to stay in the neighboring 19th century Victorian mansion (a hotel in the 21st century): Devere Tortworth Court. They are setting aside rooms for us as we speak.

Did we mention there is a famous arboretum at Tortworth?
I guess we did not. From the Forest Centre’s website: ‘The arboretum’s collection of over 600 rare, native, and champion trees was first designed and planted in the 19th Century and hosts an amazing and unusual ecosystem including wildflowers, deer, bats, butterflies and dragonflies, and many bird types.’ Buckeye, oak, walnut, maple, cedar, hickory, ash, hornbeam, chestnut, poplar, and weird birches… Tree-wise there is enough to see and do!

If pictures are not enough, feel free to start dreaming about Tortworth trees by watching the following video: Tortworth Tree Talk

To learn more: keep an eye out for the next newsletter and/or follow us on social media (GOTC_Facebook and Instagram: @gotreeclimbing). See you in the trees!

We are seeking Silent Auction donation items and Workshop presenters.
